Artist's Description
Sunup Over Kailua: Painting #68! When I sailed from Kauai to California a long time ago, one of the things that blew me away the most was how dawn looked over a glassy-surfaced ocean. The horizon practically disappeared, the water reflected the sky making the world into soft cotton candy with streaks of light blue and lavender - a delicious dream! Sunup over Kailua looks like that, too - and you can see the end of the point going out past Kaneohe there on the left. This is a very heavily textured painting.
About Angela Treat Lyon
If you adore brilliant color and simple form and delighful Beings who play and laugh a lot, you'll probably enjoy what you find here. I like to think that when you gaze at my images you might start to feel like breathing deeply and feeling like Life is Good; like laughing, or like life isn't so hard - and that maybe it's more sweet than you ever imagined, and that you just want to hug it all around yourself. What else is life for than that? The prints you get from this site are excellent, and match the images you see here almost perfectly. I hope you'll be pleased when you get any of these images on paper, poster, cards or canvas. aloha - Angela
